slowing the aging process
PaveRx is an FAA-approved asphalt sealer rejuvenator. It revitalizes, seals, protects and beautifies asphalt pavements by penetrating the surface and becoming an integral part of the binder. Waterblasting is an environmentally friendly way of cleaning and removing compound, rubber, and pavement markings. The precision of the water jets effectively and powerfully removes the markings, reducing it to fine particles. The energy generated from the 40000 psi results in precise removal that is clean and a surface that is almost dry. The waterblasting system cleans the pores of the surface very efficiently. Paint buildup from continually re-painting without removing old markings can cause poorly bonded markings to break off and become hazardous. When markings need to be redone, it is better to remove most of the existing markings before they are repainted. UHP High Pressure Rubber Removal Pavement texture is an important aspect of runway safety. Rubber and compound buildup can result in slippery runways and taxiways. Airports need to incorporate rubber removal into their maintenance schedules to meet the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) specified friction levels for safe operation of planes. How often rubber removal needs to be done is based on the number of take-off and landings that each airport experiences. Ultra High Power Waterblasting will remove deposits without damaging the texture of the pavement, restoring the friction coefficient to acceptable safety standards. Extend the life of your pavement
Sealing cracks in asphalt-surfaced taxiways and runways is an effective means of reducing the amount of water that enters the pavement. Moisture in pavement can weaken the subsurface layers of the asphalt structure, and is a primary cause of pavement deterioration. Crack sealing can prevent water from further damaging the asphalt surface. This type of maintenance saves money by delaying the expense of major pavement repairs. The benefits of crack sealing become even more evident several years later when a sealed pavement shows fewer signs of deterioration than a non-sealed pavement. Crack sealing might include routing to clean the entire crack and to create a reservoir to hold the sealant. Cracks that are sealed are typically less than 3/4- inch wide. Many types of crack treatment materials are available. Crack sealing can include: • Grout (usually used on large cracks), • P-605 Crack Sealing • P101- Hot Mix Asphalt Crack sealing is a low cost preventative maintenance choice. In 1988 Michael Harper quit his job and bought a walk behind striping machine. What started small, quickly grew. With the support of his wife, Tressie Harper, HASCO was incorporated in January of 1989. HASCO was originally named for 'Harper Asphalt Striping Company' but 30 years later, HASCO has grown to provide much more. Tressie Harper now serves as the President and Michael Harper as the Vice-President. While still a family owned and operated business, services now strech into all areas of asphalt maintanence, specializing in the aviation sector.
